Sierra Morena Mountain Refuge

The refuge is right into the heart of the Sierra Morena in Sevilla. This is a massive range containing many smaller sierras.

The Sierra de Aracena is quite popular, but the lesser known range of the  Sierra de Tentudia is rarely visited.  The refuge is the first privately owned refuge in the Sierra Morena and is available for private hire for self guided or guided groups.

The stables are situated on a small plateau at a height of 1200 metres above the spa town of Lanjaron in the Alpujarra region of Andalucia, close to Granada. The Sierra Nevada mountains are evident in all directions! You can even see the coastline of Africa on a clear day.

Casa Numero 61


Accomodation in Las Alpujarras, Granada. All accommodation is located on the first floor, this comprises of three twin bedded rooms, inclusive of wet rooms, WiFi, Flat Screen Televisions and Apple docking stations.

We purchased the house three years ago, and decided that it should be demolished and rebuilt to our specifications. We have used a local building company which has allowed us to maintain an authentic Andalucian look with a minimalistic modern feel, whilst still in keeping with the village.
